Buy in advance - The earlier you book the cheaper the fares. Most tickets are available up to 3 months in advance with some firms. The earlier you book the more likely you are to get the lowest fare with the National Express Coach, as little as £1 for 30 popular destinations buying Funfares and Early Bird Fares..

Buy single tickets - Two singles are often cheaper than a return.

Travel off peak - Some of the best fares can be found if you avoid the busy times, i.e. weekdays after 10am and not between 5pm and 7pm.

Specify return dates - Open return fares are more expensive so try and specify a return date and time if possible.

Book online - Avoid the queues and book online.
